Little Mix Hairstyles for Fiasco

We are a little in LOVE with the 60’s styling of the Little Mix Hairstyles for Fiasco mag … the girls look oh-so-gorgeous and the black and white images are super, super chic!

Little Mix Hairstyles for Fiasco

The girls have moved away from their usual vibrant styling for this shoot for the fashion mag, and although we ADORE their usual look, we are big fans of this 60’s style which has been inspired by sixties icons The Supremes and The Shangri-las.

There’s loads of volume going on for the Little Mix hairstyles for Fiasco and we couldn’t be happy; we love a voluminous hairstyle! Backcomb the roots of your own hair for added oomph like the girls have in this shoot.

All of the girls look absolutely stunning for the shoot, but we have to say, our fave of the Little Mix hairstyles for Fiasco has to be worn by Jade; the half-up half-down bouffant looks incredible. Kudos for this look!

Amelia Lily's Hair

Wohoo the ‘comeback girl’ is back on our screens with her new single ‘You Bring Me Joy’ and we are loving Amelia Lily’s hair!

Amelia Lily's Hair

The teen made a name for herself as she was voted back onto X-Factor after being voted off last year. Although she didn't win, she has gone on to sign a record deal and her debut single is finally getting released in 10 days, and we have to admit, we’ve missed her quirkiness and style a little so we’re happy to have her back on our screens!

Amelia Lily's Hair

With her music video for her debut single ‘You Bring Me Joy’ all over our screens we can’t help but notice the difference in Amelia Lily's hair! Her hair appears much thicker than we last remember from her days on X Factor so it could be said that some hair extensions have been used to create a much thicker appearance for Amelia Lily’s hair … and we are LOVING the new look.

Amelia Lily's Hair

The singer seems to have kept the length of her hair the same however she has opted to thicken it up and we think her new hair looks super gorgeous. We’re loving the blonde shade Amelia Lily’s hair has returned back to too; although we were fans of her candy floss pink hair when she was on X Factor, we have fallen a little in love with her new hair even more. PLUS the candy floss pink shade is still present, it’s just not as extreme and is scattered throughout the ends of her hair. Loving it. ♥

Amelia Lily’s hair would definitely be matched up to our Bunny Blonde shade, so ladies, if you’re looking to recreate this look then look no further as 16-18” hair extensions would be perfect to recreate this look. Simply clip in, add a few curls throughout the ends, leave to set and then gently separate with your fingers for an effortless look.

So then what do you lovelies think of Amelia Lily’s hair? Loving it like us? Have you checked out the video too? Let us know what you think by popping over to our Facebook page or tweeting us @ThisIsHeadKandy.

Boho Chic Waves with Braids or Twists

So, as you know already, we’re a little fond of Blake Lively's hair and the Gossip Girl hairstyles so we thought we’d do a quick tutorial on how to achieve boho chic waves with braids or twists! We think this hairstyle is perfect for festivals and for general day-to-day wear; it’s super easy to do and requires minimal effort.

Boho Chic Waves with Braids or Twists

Step One:

Firstly, if your hair is a little on the thin side, it would be wise to fit some hair extensions to thicken up your hair and to add to the overall look of the hairstyle! Be sure to fit the hair extensions first so you can style them with your own hair for a more natural flawless finish.

Step Two:

Next we need to curl the hair. So take you curling tongs, wand or straighteners (whichever you prefer to create curls with) and get curling! Start from the underneath of your hair and work upwards … you don't need to necessarily curl EVERY piece of hair as we’ll be brushing out the curls later on to achieve the boho chic waves with braids or twists … as long as the majority of your hair is curled all should be well. Make sure you are curling the curls the same way too ... so they are all falling the same way. Generally, curling outwards tends to look better than curling inwards.

Step Three:

Now it’s decision time! Do you want to add braids or twists? Now is the time to decide! If it’s cute braids like Blake Lively then take small sections along your parting and create a simple three strand braid to the ends of your hair. Secure in place with a small hair band. Blake opts to add two braids on one side and one braid on the other, which we think works super well, but if you want to add another braid on the other side, feel free to do so.

Step Four:

So if you’re a unsure about the braids then add twists instead … this is super cute too and a nice alternative to braids. :) Take a small section from the front of your hair on either side, twist and pull back, making sure the twists are above the top of your ear. Secure onto the side of your head with a bobby pin.

Step Five:

Once you have added your braids or twists, it’s time to take your brush and gently brush out the tight curls to create boho chic waves. Start doing this from the bottom up and use your fingers to separate and to add texture too. Be super gentle whilst doing this as you don't want to completely pull the curl out or mess up the braids or twists either. And there you have the perfect Gossip Girl inspired look. :)

What do you think of these boho chic waves with braids or twists, lovelies? It’s super easy isn’t it?! Let us know your thoughts on Facebook or tweet us. AND if you decide to do this hairstyle yourself be sure to send us over some pics so we can take a peek. ♥
