We're sad that this season’s MIC has finished :( so we thought we’d do a quick roundup
of our favourite Made In Chelsea hairstyles to hold on to the MIC love!! There are quite a fair
few ladies on Made In Chelsea, but our favourites stand out a mile with their
forever glossy and immaculate hair; we just HAD to do a little blog on
them!!
Now
to begin, a firm favourite of ours has GOT to be Natalie Joel! With
hair like hers we are pretty much green with envy. Natalie Joel’s hair
is lusciously long and super thick we just LOVE it. We’re a little
unsure as to whether or not she’s had help from some hair extensions?!
Whatever the case, her Made in Chelsea hairstyle is simply stunning!! We
love how Natalie keeps it simple with her hair; it’s either straight or
wavy with boho-like curls — a typical Made In Chelsea hairstyle. She
obviously takes good care of her hair and doesn’t over style it to keep
it in perfect condition. So, ladies, if you’re looking for healthy hair,
lay off the heat styling and jazz up with your hair with cutesy braids
to keep bang-on-trend whilst giving your hair some rest and
recuperation!
We
have also fallen in L.O.V.E. with Natalie Joel’s hair shade; with a
light caramel blonde on top and a darker shadow towards the ends of her
hair, we think this shade is pretty unique at the moment, but we have
our bets on it becoming a hot trend in the coming months! You heard it
here first....;)
Our
next lovely lady who we are a little bit fond of is the marvellous
Millie Mackintosh! She’s becoming quite the style queen and we adore her
sense of style — so chic and girly. But another thing we’re besotted
with is...her hair!! Of course! Millie Mackintosh’s hair is always
beautifully glossy and styled to perfection almost EVERY time we see
her! Reveal your secret Millie!!
We
love Millie’s hair when it’s styled with curls towards the ends of her
hair and flicked out around her face — another Made In Chelsea Hairstyle
which we adore! Millie is a bit more extravagant with her hairstyles
and does tend to mix it up a little! She’s not scared of trying
something new and we think she pulls of pretty much all of the looks she
has gone for, whether it is a slick back high ponytail or a cute updo,
Millie can do no wrong with her hair in our eyes! <3
Millie
Mackintosh is also a fond lover of some hair extensions from time to
time, we think she looks AH-MAZING with longer hair and we love the
curls in this shot too! We’d love to see her more often with longer hair
as we think she looks incredible! BIG thumbs up from us Mille!!
And
last, but by no means least, is the chic and cool as a cucumber, Caggie
Dunlop! Caggie makes an appearance in and out of MIC due to touring
with her band, but we have a little soft spot for her and her hair so we
had to include her! Caggie’s hair kind of mirrors her best pal Millie's
hair as it appears to be cut in the same sort of style, however it is lighter than Millie’s and Caggie isn’t afraid of letting her hair look a
little messy! We do love a little messiness from time to time!
Caggie
Dunlop tends to style her hair with boho beach waves which is another
hot Made In Chelsea hairstyle we are loving, especially as the Summer is
fast approaching we can see plenty of lovely ladies rocking this
hairstyle on the beach. So chic and simple too! We will definitely be
taking this hairstyle on our holidays with us!!
Updos
are another fond favourite of Caggie Dunlop and another Made In Chelsea
hairstyle which gets our seal of approval. Whether she neatly styles
them up with a quiff or quickly puts a messy bun on top of her head,
Caggie pulls it off! We adore Caggie Dunlop’s effortless look and the
fact that she gives her hair a break from all the styling from time to
time! A girl after our own heart, putting her hair first! ♥♥
Which
of the MIC girls is your favourite? Any others you think should be
included in the blog? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below or

Kate Middleton's Hair at the Diamond Jubilee Celebrations
Kate
Middleton’s hair looked absolutely perfect for the Diamond Jubilee
celebrations over the bank holiday and we were LOVING her outfit choices
too. Over the course of the celebrations we saw Kate opt for some
Jubilee themed shades with her dresses; she appeared in red, cream and
blue outfits and they all looked incredible on her!
For
the pageant on Sunday, Kate appeared in a stunning red Alexandra
McQueen dress with a matching Lock & Co hat; the dress was nipped in
at the waist with a gorgeous knee length, pleated skirt and it proved
to be the perfect choice for the pageant. Kate Middleton’s hair was
styled half-up and half-down with natural movement through the ends of
her hair; this style looked gorgeous with her red hat too. This was our
favourite look on Kate; we thought the red dress was just amazing.
Our
second favourite Kate look from the celebrations was for the Queen’s
thanksgiving service at St. Paul’s cathedral. Kate wore a nude lace
dress, also by Alexandra McQueen, with a matching hat from Jane Taylor.
The Duchess looked ever so angelic; it was a lovely look for her. We
LOVED Kate Middleton’s hair style to match this dress though and this
was probably our fave of her hair styles from the bank holiday weekend.
Kate’s hair was again styled half-up and half-down, but her hair was
pinned into a messy bow at the back of her head. This looked super cute …
we LOVE!! Her hair had a little more curl and movement through the ends
for this look … just perfect. :)
Kate
chose a high street outfit for her appearance at the Diamond Jubilee
concert; she wore a cute blue and purple Whistles dress and wore her
hair in traditional Kate style; her locks were styled with an off-centre
parting with lots of volume and movement. Her hair looked fantastic.
We
thoroughly enjoyed all of the Diamond Jubilee celebrations here at
HeadKandy, but we were loving Kate Middleton’s hair and her gorgeous
dresses even more! What did you think of Kate Middleton’s hair for the
celebrations and which was your fave style? Leave us a comment or head
over to Facebook to let us know. :)
The
royal crown braid is certainly a style fit for a princess or a queen
and what hairstyle would be more fitting for the Diamond Jubilee
festivities over the weekend? This braid incorporates tips from our
previous tutorials for the Milk Maid Braid and French Braid but also
includes a few new tricks! This style is perfect for summer as it keeps
all your hair away from your face, even if you have a bang/fringe this
can be tucked into the braid!
Step One
If
you’re using your hair extensions for added volume, I would advise
fitting these upside down and personally I think your Quad Weft and just
one 3 clip weft would be enough for this style. Fit these roughly
around ear height before you start.
Step Two
To
create the royal crown braid you need to use an inside out french
braiding technique...don’t worry about this as it isn’t as tricky as it
may sound and gives a gorgeous look as the braid will appear more
prominent! I find starting above the ear easiest as you can see what you
are creating! Section your hair from ear to ear as it will be the front
section you will be braiding first.
Step Three
To
create the inside out braid look all you need to do is pass the hair
underneath the previous section whereas you would normally position this
over the top! So using the same technique from the French Braid
tutorial simply incorporate some of loose hair with each section and
angle the braid around the front of your hairline.
Step Four
Once
you have incorporated all the front section of hair you need to
continue the royal crown braid around your head. You should have enough
hair to continue using the sections from the front. This can be a little
tricky to see how your braid is looking so using a mirror behind and
one in front can really help you see what you're doing!!
Step Five
Once
all your hair has been french braided you should have a complete ring
of braided locks all the way around your head. If you have loads of hair
left you have two options...you can either keep braiding this and wrap
this inside of the crown braid you have already created or you can
secure your braid at the join and use the ends of your hair to smooth
out the section of hair inside your braid.
This
royal crown braid hairstyle looks stunning and super girly for any of
your Summer occasions...why not braid in a ribbon, add in a daisy chain
or, especially for the Jubilee, some red, white, and blue bows!! :) We’d
love to know if you attempt this hairstyle....add some pics to our
Facebook page so we can take a look. :)
As
we all know (well most of us should know, and shame on those who don’t
know!!) the Glamour Awards took place on Tuesday night and the stars
came out in force with their fabulous red carpet hairstyles!! With hair
styled to perfection and outfits to be envied by any designer wardrobe, we
just HAD to do a quick round up to show you all!!
So
lets begin with Jessie J, who won the award for Solo Artist of the
year! Wohoo! Not only can she ‘do it like a dude’, she looks incredible
when she plays the lady role too!! We are absolutely in love with her
little 1920’s inspired black Julien Macdonald dress which stole the show
at the awards. Teamed with subtle dark makeup and a elegant updo, Jessie
looked like such a starlet! We are raving over her super elegant red
carpet hair style … we very much approve of this look Jessie!
Eva
Longoria stayed bang-on-trend with her red carpet hairstyle and
attended the awards with a high ponytail in tow … along with her neon orange, fitted dress, which was designed by one of her pals, the one
and only Victoria Beckham!! Love love love the dress, but we love Eva
Longoria's hair even more! Hair worn in a high ponytail is a winner in
our eyes at the moment, so on trend; Especially when styled with a few
curls for extra oomph and texture! J’adore for sure! So easy to recreate
too...Give it a whirl :)
Sofia
Vergara brought some va va voom to the awards with her lovely long
tousled locks which complimented her red dress perfectly! We think she
looked super duper HOT and we love how her red carpet hair is styled.
Subtle curls were added at the front to help frame her face and we love
how it softened up her whole look yet still added texture and sexiness
at the same time! This is another hot look at the moment and we would
definitely recommend you try giving this look a go!!
Another
look we are reaaally loving has got to be Kelly Rowland!! She looked
absolutely dazzling in a floor length silk gown and her red carpet
hairstyle looked in impeccable condition. We love the simple straight
styling and how thick Kelly’s hair looked; even though it was near
enough poker straight it still managed to look textured! If this is
something which you would love to re-create then why not use your HeadKandy hair extensions to thicken up your hair! So quick and easy to
add some extra oomph!
And
finallyyyy we have Little Mix!! Yup, they’re back, complete with a
makeover and we are BIG fans of Jessy’s and Leanne’s darker hair! Loving
the shade change! Jessy looked lovely with her usual tumbling long
waves and Perri had her normal cutesy curled hair which we absolutely
adore! Jade opted for a updo instead of her wavy hair which we are all
used to seeing but we think she looked great with the updo too! Leanne’s
hair has GOT to be our favourite though, loooooooooving the volume, the
side parting and all the curls!! Just lovely. If you’re a fan of this
look too add some hair extensions to make your hair super thick so you
can have LOTS of cute curls :). Easy peasy! <3
There
were so many other beauties from the Glamour Awards we found it hard
whittling it down, who were all of your favourites? Any styles you’d
like to give a go too? Let us know in the comments below or tweet us
with your thoughts :) <3
