We’ve all seen Drew Barrymore making a statement with her ‘Ombre’ hair
lately, but it seems she’s not on her own in loving this unique style as other
celebs have been jumping on the ‘Ombre’ bandwagon this summer. You can create your
own cool ‘Ombre’ hair using HeadKandy hair extensions.
So what is ‘Ombre’ hair I hear you cry ... well it looks a bit like you’ve
forgotten to dye your roots for a while, but in a good way ... the roots and
top of the hair are darker and they slowly fade down into lighter tips... it
may sound a bit outlandish, but as we’ve seen with celebs like Drew Barrymore,
Alexa Chung, Rachel Bilson, Hilary duff and Kristin Cavallari, this look can
really work and it looks set to be big this autumn!!
If you fancy trying out a bit of ‘Ombre’ for yourself then you have a few
options:
If you have dark roots or hair similar to shades Espresso or Melted Chocolate
then you can spice up your do by adding some single strips in Tanned Blonde or
LA Blonde, dying the roots of these extensions by two shades darker would
create a more natural ‘Ombre’ look as your hair subtly fades from dark to
light.
Alternatively, if you’re a block colour brunette and you want a more subtle
take on the ‘Ombre’ look then you could try a full head set in either Iced Coffee or Cappuccino Highlights to add some drama! Again, dying the roots
of the extensions would give you a more faded effect.
‘Ombre’ hair is definitely an acquired taste and you’ll either love it or hate
it, but it seems it’s around to stay for the moment at least so why not
Ombre-fy your own locks with HeadKandy hair extensions...?
